Featured artist: Darra Sargent
Darra is the illustrator & lettering artist behind Dear Darling Design Studio! She is super inspired by the design of the 60s and 70s and tries to bring elements from the past into her work in a modern way. She loves color and her signature style involves including all the colors of the rainbow in every piece.
Darra went full time freelance in August of 2015 making her business 10 years old this year! She specializes in unique, retro and colorful branding design for other small women and/or LGBTQ+ owned businesses, as well as art licensing. She uses her personal work and passion projects to advocate for women’s rights and other social issues that she is passionate about. She is a mom to two boys and was born and raised in Baltimore, MD where she still resides.
